Ability aditions

(warning, I am only on book 1 so shush)

So, we know about the Grisha and what not, but their ability's...

I mean they could go to some extent right? Is there a limit?

I mean, I am a Tidemaker and and according to the Tidemaer page, The tidemakers can control plants though their sap. Why not the human mind?

The human brain is mainly made of water, so why not?

All I am saying is that their ability's could go a little further.

plz comment

seven of crows (six of crows fanfic)

prologue:

“Kaz. Kaz.” Varia muttered, looking around the abandoned alleyway. Her brother spared barely a moment to turn around from the ladder to shush her. Reluctantly, she followed him up the ladder and onto the roof.

Varia and Kaz Rietveld were new to the Barrel life, and had only recently joined the Dregs, Per Haskell’s gang. Although she was usually scared out of her mind in the Barrel, going on these missions with her brother usually eased Varia’s mind. She loved the feeling of being on a heist, and she knew her brother well enough to know that he had a plan for just about every situation they could get themselves into.

But tonight was different. The air was too calm, the waves on the shores of Ketterdam too quiet. And Varia couldn’t sen…

Six of Crows Fanfiction

Kaz

“Inej!” Jesper crowed as soon as he saw her. She was taller now but still shorter than Kaz, who was standing next to her, his hand on her shoulder. “Nina is that you?” Jesper asked in disbelief as he saw a tall young woman with light brown hair walk in front of him. “Jesper!” she cried as she hugged him tight. “It is you!” Jesper cried as he hugged her back.

“ I’m here as well guys,” Wylan said glumly. “Wylan! You look so mature.” Inej and Nina cried at the same time, both rushing to hug him. Wylan was pleased he was remembered. Kaz just watched from where Inej had been moments ago. He dropped his bare hand that had been on her shoulder. Jesper watched Kaz’s hand drop to his side. “So… the last time I saw Inej she said that you said I wa…

Things I Hope Happen In season 2 Shadow and Bone

First I am just writing this because I think I need to get this out there and to share some of my hopes for season 2 and I would like others to add their own in this discussion.

The first thing I want to happen sometime during season two is this:

Kaz:*thinking hard and staring into the distance*

Someone (Jesper) or everyone: Uh oh scheming face.

I think this needs to happen because let’s be honest we can’t have Kaz not do this, it’s part of his caricature. Second I think we need to see more of Milo the goat. I think he/she (idk maybe someone can let me know) should be one of those characters that just randomly pops up out of nowhere helps, never dies, and then just disappears for a while.

I would also like to see more of Alina and Mal with the …

Alina Starkov

Ok so we all know as Alina Starkov as the main character in Shadow and Bone. She is an ancient sun summoner who was once looked on as worthless and with not much of a purpose to the world until her powers awoke. After that everything had began to change for her, with many threats and enemies she also has some powerful allies on her side. With huge plot twists and non-stop action this story will never get boring at any part in it.

This is to be updated... School sucks*

How Netflix's Shadow & Bone Will Incorporate Six of Crows

I could not contain my excitement when I heard that not only were we going to get a T.V. adaptation of Leigh Bardugo's Shadow and Bone series, but that the showrunners were planning on incorporating her other series, Six of Crows, into the same T.V. adaptation. Seeing as the stories from both series don't merge in the books, I wanted to find out how they were planning on involving the two.

The Shadow and Bone series is narrated by Alina Starkov, a teenage orphan who grows up in land of Ravka before her entire life changes when she unexpectedly harnesses a power she never knew she had to save her best friend.

Six of Crows follows a crew of thieves who want to pull off a grand heist. It is primarily set in the city of Ketterdam, loosely inspired …

Netflix Picks Up Grishaverse Series

It's happening, folks – both the original Grisha Trilogy (beginning with Shadow and Bone) and the Six of Crows Duology are going to be adapted into an eight-episode series on Netflix!

According to Deadline, the series will be produced by showrunner Eric Heisserer, who wrote Netflix’s Bird Box, and Shawn Levy, executive producer of Stranger Things. Leigh Bardugo will also serve as an executive producer.

As of right now, this is just a greenlight – a lot more needs to happen before we can binge watch, re-watch, and obsess – but I am so excited that this project is finally in motion!

What part of the Grishaverse are you most excited to see come to life on screen?

ETA: Keep up to date with news about the TV series on our Shadow and Bone (TV series) page!

POLL: New Wiki Theme

Hello! I'm Alex and I've recently become an admin here on the Grishaverse Wiki. I have been working on converting the wiki's infoboxes to the portable markup as well as re-designing the color schemes. While I have the infoboxes pretty much done, I thought that the overall wiki design could use a facelift. I used a few of the downloadable wallpapers from http://grishaverse.com/ for inspiration (and to use as potential backgrounds) then created mockups on my test wiki.

I have no idea how many people will see/care about this, but if you have an opinion about what I've come up with, please choose an answer in the poll and/or leave a comment!

Shadow and Bone Movie

Shadow and Bone fans, GREAT NEWS!!! Leigh Bardugo's bestseller just got picked up by Dreamworks to be made into a movie!!

Even cooler is that David Heyman, the producer who in the late ’90s had the wise instinct to secure the film rights to J.K. Rowling’s wizard-verse Harry Potter, will be producing the movie with Jeffrey Clifford!

Check out the trailer for Shadow and Bone here:

Shadow and Bone is the first installment in Bardugo’s planned “Grisha Trilogy,” so DreamWorks could have a whole series on its hands if the film ends up finding an audience!

The entire series on the big screen? HOW GREAT WOULD THAT BE??
