Elling is a port settlement on the northwest coast of Fjerda, where the Stelge River meets the Isenvee.[1] It is one of two locations along the rocky coast that can be safely approached by large vessels from the sea; the other is Djerholm. Security at Elling is tight,[2] and the settlement is known for smuggling and fish.[1]
History[]
After traveling across Fjerda for weeks, Matthias Helvar and Nina Zenik arrived in Elling. Ravkan Grisha spies were conducting reconnaissance work in the port and recognized them; to save Matthias, Nina told a Kerch trader in the Elling harbor that Matthias was a slaver.[3]
The ship Verstoten regularly docked and traded in Elling for almost a year. This was a cover for the Ravkans who smuggled Grisha refugees to a safehouse in Elling. Nina Zenik worked at a fish cannery in Elling while undercover.[1]
Trivia[]
