Shadow and Bone[]
- Main article: Shadow and Bone (TV series)
In January 11, 2019, it was announced that Netflix would be in charge of bringing Leigh Bardugo's Grishaverse to television. The first season of the series consists of 8 episodes and combines the stories of the Shadow and Bone trilogy and the Six of Crows duology. It was adapted by Eric Heisserer.[1] The show was later renewed for a second season, but canceled before the filming of a third.[2]
Six of Crows[]
A Six of Crows spin-off show was reportedly being adapted by Eric Heisserer and Daegan Fryklind. It was meant to tackle the events of the Six of Crows duology and the jurda parem storyline. The show was in its early stages, intended to combine both Six of Crows and Shadow and Bone.[3] The first season was written in 2021. Christina Strain, producer and writer for Shadow and Bone, wrote an episode primarily dedicated to Wylan.[4] Amita Suman read the scripts and said it was one of the best she had been sent for a series. She also said the cast really wanted to do the show.[5] However, plans for a spin-off show were canceled in November 2023, along with the Shadow and Bone TV show.[1]
Film[]
In September 2012, Holly Bario, president of production of Dreamworks, announced that she had acquired the rights to make a film based on Shadow and Bone.[6] David Heyman with Jeffrey Clifford, president of Heymaker Films would produce.[7] But after several years, no more news was released; most likely, the project was scrapped and the rights reverted back to the author.
Future[]
- In May 2018, Leigh was asked about the possibility of another book with the Six of Crows crew. She stated that she has a long-term plan for the Grishaverse that involves a third Six of Crows book, though it would be many years down the line.[8] On May 2023, Leigh stated she was not writing the book any time soon.[9]

I don't know what I can tell you, but I'll say I have read them and I cried, and it's probably one of the best scripts I've been sent for a series. And right now our focus is Season 2 of Shadow and Bone, and we are very reliant on the numbers, and it's doing really well. It's still in the top 10 so far, and it's on the second week.
