The Grishaverse

The Hringsa is an underground network of spies based in Fjerda that rescues and evacuates Grisha out of the country to Ravka, where they are safer. The network is supported by the Ravkan Crown under King Nikolai Lantsov. The name "Hringsa" means "tree of life" and refers to the great sacred ash of Djel.[1]

History[]

King of Scars[]

The Hringsa helped rescue Grisha that they put in the hold of the Verstoten and sent to Elling. From there, they were able to leave Fjerda.[1]

When Grisha women and infants are evacuated out of the factory in Gäfvalle, Adrik sends word to the Hringsa network in Hjar to ensure that a ship will be waiting for them.[2] Next, a whaler commissioned by Hringsa members takes them to Ravka.[3]

Rule of Wolves[]

The Hringsa have been staging miracles all over Fjerda to try and make the people begin believing in the Saints. In Hjar, they rescued a damaged fishing boat and saved the sailors and their catch. The next morning, a mural of Sankt Vladimir's sacred lighthouse appeared on the church wall. In Felsted they made an apple orchard burst into full fruit even though it was winter, as if Sankt Feliks had blessed the trees. The branches were festooned with ash boughs, a symbol of Djel's blessing. When the town of Kjerek had fallen ill with firepox, a farmer claimed to have witnessed a vision of Sankta Anastasia, and the next day the people were cured.[4]
