Imogen was a girl in the Barrel gangs and Kaz Brekker's first crush.

Biography

Imogen ran with a crew in Zierfoort before moving to Ketterdam, because she claimed the jobs in Zierfoort bored her. She hung around the Staves, picking up small jobs and trying to find her way into one of the Barrel gangs.

Kaz Brekker was fourteen and Imogen fifteen when they first met. She worked with him at the spring prize fights, counting up the money at the ring at the end of the day. She had a crush on Kaz and Kaz had a crush on her, but Kaz was unable to overcome his touch aversion; his lack of response eventually convinced Imogen to drop their pursuit of a relationship.

Personality and traits

Imogen could hold her own in a fight and did not tolerate men getting handsy with her. She was self-conscious about the gap between her teeth and smiled with her lips closed to avoid showing it. Imogen was bold and brave, claiming she moved to Ketterdam because her gang in Zierfoort was boring.

Physical description

Imogen had freckles and a gap between her front teeth. To hide the gap, Imogen smiled slowly and kept her lips closed. She wore her trousers low on her hips and had a sidle when she walked, "as if she approached everything from a little bit of an angle."
