An indenture is a legal binding document that the Kerch use to repay services from one person to another. Some indentures are forced upon people who have no knowledge of what the agreement entails. Many agreements are manipulated to prolong the indentured person's servitude.
Indenturing one's self and being put up for auction is seen as sacred to Ghezen.[1]

- Indentured against her will at the Menagerie. Her indenture was paid off by Kaz Brekker with the Dregs' money.[2]

- Indentured to Councilman Hoede as a Grisha Squaller.[3] He began to pay off his indenture by going on sea voyages after Hoede's death.[4]

- Indentured to Councilman Hoede as a Grisha Fabrikator. Indenture was ended after his death from a jurda parem overdose.[3]
- Kuwei Yul-Bo
- Participated in an auction to sell his indenture at the Church of Barter.[1] However, he was never sold.[5]

- A young Suli man indentured to Jan Van Eck as a music teacher.[6]
Current[]
Some of the brothels of West Stave employ indentures such as the Menagerie, while in other places servants are indentured in a way that makes them unable to pay it off.
