Liev was a cartographer.

Biography

Liev was a member of the cartographer unit of the First Army, working along with others, including Alina Starkov, Alexei Stepanov and Raisa.

Liev insulted Alina for her Shu heritage and Alexei defended her, assuring Alina that she was Ravkan.

The cartographer unit was originally assigned to go south, but was reassigned to the skiff going through the Fold after Alina secretly destroyed the maps of the other side. The skiff was attacked by volcra, and their only safe source of light turned off. Liev was nervous and lit up a lantern, seemingly forgetting the instructions given by Natacha. The light of the lantern drew the attention of the volcra, who attacked the skiff and snatched Liev, killing him.
