Polina was a Grisha Inferni and the twin sister of Pavel.
Biography[]
Polina was a talented and strong Grisha that performed during the winter fete with her twin brother Pavel in front of the royal family. However, the winter fete was infiltrated by a gang of criminals who were looking to kidnap the Sun Summoner and sell her to the highest bidder as part of a plot that resulted in the death of two of her fellow Grisha, the assault of another, and the murder of Polina's brother, all in her very home.[1]
After her brother's violent murder, Polina tracks down Inej Ghafa, his killer. She runs after Inej and sends a blast of fire in her direction. However, she accidentally sets a man on fire through her grief-ridden rage, and Zoya Nazyalensky reminds her to think more rationally. Polina is jumped by Inej and nearly killed but manages to push her back. However, Polina loses track of her and is stabbed in the abdomen when she turns around. Polina then expresses her grief and rage to the woman who brutally murdered her brother in their home, telling Inej that she’ll track her down and avenge Pavel no matter what. In response, the knife in her gut is cruelly twisted and kills Polina as well.[2]
Personality and traits[]
Polina is more than likely a strong and talented Grisha, seeing as she was one of the few chosen to perform at the winter fete in front of the King, Queen, and Prince of Ravka as well as many other dignitaries. Polina was an intelligent, brave, determined and loyal person who was killed while trying to avenge her twin brother's violent murder.[2]
