Rojakke was a card dealer at the Crow Club before Kaz Brekker had him fired for skimming money.

Rojakke is quick with a deck of cards; Inej Ghafa says there is "no one like him at the tables."[1] However, this quickness leads Kaz to realize that Rojakke is skimming money, and Kaz tells Inej to fire him. Rojakke provides for his family with the money he earns dealing cards at gambling halls.
Rojakke is at the Crow Club dealing Three Man Bramble for Jesper Fahey and several Ravkan tourists when Inej asks to speak to him in a private parlor. Rojakke refuses, starting a loud argument with Inej on the club floor. He claims not to be a cheat and requests his check for his last shift, but Inej tells him he can take his grievances to Kaz.
When Rojakke tries to grab Inej, she slips on her brass knuckles and punches him twice in the face. Since he and Inej had a good relationship, Rojakke is stunned and he leaves the Crow Club. Inej suggests Rojakke can get a job as a dealer at another gambling hall, since rather than cut off Rojakke's pinkie finger in the customary gang punishment for skimming, Kaz only fired him.
