Ryevost is a settlement near the Sokol River in Ravka.
History[]
Alina Starkov stopped in Ryevost to purchase a bedroll and food. She was recognized by an oprichnik and fled into the woods.[1]
After fleeing the capital, the Apparat appeared in Kerskii and Ryevost to preach, then quickly disappeared before the King's soldiers could reach him.[2]
Sturmhond used a smugglers' meeting place near Ryevost.[3] It was in a busy square that overlooked the river.[4]
Approximately three years after the destruction of the Shadow Fold, Ryevost was the site of one of the many miracles across Ravka. An earthquake struck the town, releasing thousands of tiny silver hummingbirds from a split in the stone seal of Sankt Lubov. The hummingbirds circled the town square for two weeks before dispersing.[5]
As part of a royal tour, King Nikolai Lantsov worked with the townsmen to clear away rubble from the earthquake and build new structures. He promised to build a new church on the site of the cracked stone seal.[5]

Description[]
Ryevost is the largest of the river cities, located near the foothills of the Petrazoi. It features crowded streets and canals.[1] The western outskirts of the city are less reputable.

- In Shadow and Bone, Alina calls Ryevost a city. In King of Scars, Zoya Nazyalensky calls it a town.
