Sankta Neyar is the patron saint of blacksmiths and one of the Six Soldiers. She saved Shu Han with her sword Neshyenyer against a horde of clockwork soldiers.

Biography[]

Neyar was the daughter of a nobleman in Shu Han. Her city was approached by the battalion of clockwork soldiers created by Sankt Kho. Determined to protect her people, Neyar forged a blade "so sharp it could cut through shadow and so strong it laughed at steel."[1] With her new weapon, she battled the clockwork battalion for three days and three nights, only laying down her sword when the last soldier had been defeated. After the battle she demanded the king step down, and Shu Han has been ruled by queens of the Taban line ever since.

Legacy[]

Her blade Neshyenyer, meaning 'relentless', has never rusted. It is kept in the palace of Ahmrat Jen.[1]

The Temple of Neyar in Ahmrat Jen is a hexagonal structure with six entries. A statue of Neyar holding Neshyenyer stands beneath a roof open to the sky. The Tavgharad swear their oath to the queen at the statue of Neyar.[2]

Powers and abilities[]

Neyar is an extremely talented blacksmith. She is also presumably a Materialki Durast since she forged a blade of such impeccable craftsmanship in the time it took for the clockwork battalion to reach her city.
