The beast was the second son of the king and queen, placed in a labyrinth and feared by the people due to his monstrous appearance.

Biography[]

Personality and traits[]

The beast was a cynical prince with a bitter loathing toward his family and most humans. Due to the inhumane treatment he endured all his life, he detested prejudice, and thus he was always skeptical of others' intentions, behaving aggressive toward strangers, and even making threats in order to hold his ground. However, he was also honest and kept to his promises, remaining completely true to his word no matter what these promises were. Furthermore, the beast was shown to be reclusive; while he held animosity towards humans, he was more inclined to avoid them as soon as he escaped from his labyrinth, and chose to seclude himself away in the thorn wood than deal with them again. He behaved more animal than man, as he tended to move on all four legs, and had a voice that was always rumbling and growling.[1]

Physical description[]

The beast is shaped more like a wolf than a man, with black fur, golden-clawed feet and hands, and gleaming, blood-red eyes. His teeth are long and sharp, and his gums are black. Two ram-like horns protrude from his head, twisting and marked with glowing ridges, and he has a bushy, black tail. Around his neck, he wears a lariat of gold and rubies.[1]
