Vladim Gulav is an Alkemi who follows the Darkling.

Biography

In his childhood, the people in Vladim's village, Udemya, hid him from other Grisha so that he could help the residents. He carried out this task for many years, creating remedies and cleaning water until the Darkling rescued him.

Later, Vladim experiments with potions in the Little Palace when the Darkling enters in search of a cure for his head pains. Vladim suggests that it may be a consequence of him creating the nichevo'ya using merzost. After the Darkling cuts off Baghra's finger, he gives it to Vladim and tells him to make it into an amplifier. Vladim crushes the bones and begins the process with Baghra watching.

Vladim discovers the workshop devastated by Genya Safin's rage. He calls back the Darkling and tells him that he had kept the amplifiers with him, but the general slams the door in his face. Vladim later watches as the Darkling destroys an entire village with the Cut. Back indoors, he binds Baghra's amplifier to the Darkling's severed wrist, then gives him a prosthetic hand that he can move once the amplification is done. Vladim also amplifies Vatra, Nisho, and Fruzsi.
